Priority Digital Health Challenge 2025 Commences
Cogniss, in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and The Validitron, is excited to announce that the Priority Digital Health Challenge 2025 is officially open for applications. This annual innovation programme supports health experts, non-profits and health systems to develop patient-centric and innovative solutions addressing critical healthcare challenges.
Launched in 2024, the programme has expanded its scope this year. With support from our 2025 programme partners, including the Australasian Institute of Digital Health (AIDH), Digital Health Cooperative Research Centre (DHCRC), Talking HealthTech and NEXTGEN, the Challenge now welcomes a broader range of solution areas while continuing to encourage innovation with focus on underserved populations.
Following the success of last year’s winners, Journey to Recovery by Associate Professor Belinda Lange from Flinders University, and Melanatal by NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Ruby Jackson (featured in BBC and Nursing Times), we’re thrilled to invite applicants from around the globe to join the 2025 Challenge.
Successful applicants will gain access to a rapid development bootcamp, co-design and usability services, 12 months of use on the Cogniss no-code platform, and access to The Validitron Sandbox for testing and evaluation. Alongside mentorship and exposure to global digital health networks, the programme is designed to fit around the demanding roles of clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals, enabling them to take part while continuing their vital work.
Shortlisted applicants will have the opportunity to virtually pitch their ideas to a panel of digital healthcare leaders, including:
Amanda Cattermole PSM, CEO, Australian Digital Health Agency
Dr Rowland Illing, Chief Medical Officer & Global Director of Healthcare and Life Sciences, AWS
Annette Schmiede, CEO, DHCRC
Leon Young, CEO & Founder, Cogniss
Anja Nikolic, CEO, AIDH
Peter Birch, Founder & CEO, Talking HealthTech
Prof Wendy Chapman, Director, Centre for Digital Transformation of Health, University of Melbourne
Know someone who's a great fit for this challenge? Share this great opportunity with them and help them turn their bold ideas into real-world impact! Applications close on 22 May 2025.
