Cogniss appointed Chair of WHO/Europe Digital Innovation and AI working group

Cogniss has been appointed Chair of the Digital and Technological Innovation (including AI) working group within the WHO/Europe Public Health Innovation Platform.

The platform is a collaborative, WHO-hosted network designed to catalyze system-level transformation in public health. It brings together Member States, intergovernmental organizations, WHO collaborating centres, non-state actors and innovation institutions to co-create, scale and sustain impactful innovations that address health inequities and deliver measurable, population-level benefits.

Leon Young, CEO of Cogniss, said: "It was an honour for Cogniss to accept the WHO Europe invitation to chair this working group. Our vision is to build a world where people have the guidance, care and tools to have agency over their health. Creating trusted pathways for adoption and translating innovation into meaningful impact is what drives our work."

Cogniss’s work has been centered on closing the gap between innovation and implementation in public health. Its specialized no-code infrastructure is built to empower clinicians, researchers and health systems to turn ideas into patient-facing solutions and deploy them at scale.

Dr Lloyd Humphreys, Managing Director of Cogniss, said: "As Chair, Cogniss will be working with colleagues to explore how digital technologies can support public health across the region, including important considerations around transparency, governance and responsible implementation. We look forward to helping ensure that innovation reaches the health systems and communities that need it most."
