Cogniss powers innovation at SGHackitRx 2025 during the 34th Singapore Pharmacy Congress
Cogniss was delighted to be the official technology partner for SGHackitRx 2025, hosted by the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore (PSS). The hackathon was held from 1 August to 28 September as part of the 34th Singapore Pharmacy Congress, one of the nation’s most influential gatherings for healthcare professionals.
As a tech partner, Cogniss made its no-code platform available to teams throughout the programme, enabling them to build fully functioning health apps. The arrangement provided a clear path from concept to fully functioning apps without traditional coding.
Under the theme “Enhancing Care, Reducing Burnout,” the event focused on solutions that improved patient care and supported workforce wellbeing. The hackathon concluded on 28 September at the Congress’ SGHackitRx Finals and Award Ceremony at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel.
Care+ from the National Cancer Centre Singapore / SingHealth won the top prize, and Gold Label placed third. Both teams built their solutions on Cogniss during the hackathon and will continue developing their MVPs on the platform in the coming months.
Kick-off event brings together Cogniss and Singapore health leaders to spark innovation
Cogniss Founding CEO Leon Young and Chief Commercial Officer Joseph Barry led a hands-on workshop at the SGHackitRx 2025 kick-off on 1 August, demonstrating to teams how to quickly move from concept to app on the Cogniss platform. The session was designed to help participants start building their solutions during the programme.
The room brought together pharmacists, researchers, clinical entrepreneurs and health-tech leaders. Keynotes and contributions from Dr Camillia Wong (Ministry of Health, Singapore), Nigel Lim (Ng Teng Fong General Hospital), Dr Kelvin Tan (PhD) (Singapore University of Social Sciences) and Nidhi Swarup (Alliance of Patients’ Organizations Singapore, APOS) explored what meaningful innovation could look like for Singapore’s healthcare system.
A follow-up webinar on 5 August drew 40 participants for deeper platform training, after which teams could book one-on-one consultations with Cogniss Customer Success to discuss build approaches and feature configurations specific to their use cases.

Singapore has a strong reputation for cross-sector collaboration between government, academia, startups and healthcare providers. This was reflected at SGHackitRx 2025, which was supported by BLOCK71, Singapore Biodesign, SGInnovate, the Singapore Management University – Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
“We saw clinicians, researchers and entrepreneurs working side by side, which is exactly the mix that turns innovation into impact,” said Joseph Barry, Chief Commercial Officer at Cogniss. “This kind of collaboration is what inspires us at Cogniss, and we were proud of our role in removing technical barriers so innovators could focus on clinical value and implementation during this event.”
The collaboration aligned with Cogniss’s global mission and expanding APAC footprint. The same no-code approach has supported teams in the UK, Australia and other markets to design, launch and scale patient-facing apps quickly and cost-effectively.
By carrying projects forward beyond the Congress, SGHackitRx 2025 showed how no-code can shorten the path from concept to care. Cogniss will continue to support teams in Singapore over the coming months as solutions are refined, validated, and prepared for the next steps.
